Celebrating 10 Years of Impact: Announcing Our 2025 Dementia Live® Scholarship Recipients

2025 marks a powerful milestone at AGE-u-cate Training Institute: 10 years of Dementia Live® transforming the way communities, professionals, and families understand and support people living with dementia.
To honor a decade of education, empathy, and impact, we launched a special giveaway earlier this year—the Dementia Live® Scholarship Program—offering a unique opportunity for organizations committed to building more dementia-friendly communities. After reviewing many inspiring applications from across the country, we’re proud to announce our 10 scholarship recipients for 2025.
Each recipient receives a Dementia Live® Experience Kit and Coach Training, equipping them to bring immersive, empathy-based dementia education directly into their communities.
Why the Giveaway?
Dementia Live® was created to spark understanding, elevate compassion, and drive culture change—especially at the local level. Over the last decade, we’ve seen this powerful simulation change not just minds, but hearts.
To celebrate 10 years of transformation, we wanted to do more than just reflect. We wanted to invest forward—into grassroots organizations, libraries, universities, nonprofits, and aging service providers that are leading the way in their regions. The scholarship was open to groups actively advancing dementia-friendly goals and eager to expand the reach and depth of their work.

A Decade of Transformation—And Just Getting Started
Since its launch in 2015, Dementia Live® has touched thousands of lives through experiential training. It’s been used by professionals, caregivers, educators, volunteers, and students in settings ranging from memory care to medical schools to community centers.
By simulating sensory and cognitive changes, participants experience what it may feel like to live with dementia—deepening empathy and improving how we communicate, care, and connect.
But ten years is just the beginning. We remain focused on our mission: to foster a world that respects, understands, and supports people living with dementia—and we believe Dementia Live® is one of the most effective tools to get there.
